Booked Solid: Book Discussion Group In-Person

The Versatility of Shirley Jackson, Former Rochesterian

*Registration is open*

Wednesday, February 4, 6:30-7:30 PM

For Adults

Join us monthly as PPL staff members take turns leading discussions of books chosen from a wide variety of genres and time periods. While Shirley Jackson is best known for horror, her work ran the gamut from gothic novels to amusing, anecdotal essays. Join Rhonda Rossman for a discussion of this prolific and wildly imaginative author. We will discuss The Haunting of Hill House, “The Lottery” (short story), and one humorous essay (which will be distributed at the meeting). Copies of the book are available six weeks prior to the meeting. Refreshments will be provided.
