Learn about a local WWII pilot for the Tuskegee airmen, Flight Officer Leland Hedges Pennington, and his personal P-51 Mustang nicknamed "Lucy Gal." Pennington flew Lucy Gal in escort missions over Europe protecting allied bombers until he and his plane went missing in action on April 21, 1945, and were never seen again.
