Women's March Toward Equal Rights in the U.S.

Women's March Toward Equal Rights in the U.S. In-Person

Celebrate Women's History Month with this presentation about the road to women's equal rights in the U.S.! This presentation invites you to go back in time when women were legally classified as "property," and explores their pain, passion, degradation, and determination -- simply because they wanted the right to vote. Catch the spirit of our hometown hero "Aunt Susan" (aka Susan B. Anthony) as we explore why and how women began to rise up against social mores that kept them down for centuries. We'll review the driving forces behind the various movements for women's rights and the legal status of women in our nation today.
