Author Visit: Karen Odden In-Person
Join us as we host award winning mystery author Karen Odden!
USA Today bestselling author Karen Odden earned her PhD in English literature from New York University, writing her dissertation on how the medical, legal, and popular literature written about Victorian railway disasters provided the foundations for our later understanding of “shell shock” and PTSD. Subsequently, she taught Victorian literature at the UW-Milwaukee, and edited for the academic journal Victorian Literature and Culture before writing fiction. Her five Victorian mystery novels, all set in 1870s London, have won awards for historical fiction and mystery. She has lectured and taught all over the US at libraries and for writing groups. She serves on the national board for Sisters and Crime, and she lives in Arizona with her family. Connect with Karen at www.karenodden.com.
