Never Can Say Goodbye: The Unbreakable Human-Canine Bond In-Person

Presented by Patricia A. Nugent,

author of Healing with Dolly Lama: Finding God in Dog

*Registration is open*

Monday, May 4, 6:30-8:00 PM

For Adults

Scientific studies have proven there is a deep evolutionary connection between dogs and humans. Dogs' social intelligence has made them more similar to human infants than to their wolf ancestors. But dog lovers already know this just by living with these amazing creatures. This session will explore the canine-human bond, what they teach us, and why it hurts so much when they cross the rainbow bridge. Drawing from her book, Healing with Dolly Lama; Finding God in Dog, the author will share how the unwanted gift of a puppy forever changed her life - for the better. Bring a photo of your heart dog!

Following a career as a school district administrator and adjunct communication professor, Patricia A. Nugent now writes to give voice to those who would otherwise be silent. Her creative nonfiction essays have been published in trade and literary journals, and her work is featured in three anthologies. Healing with Dolly Lama: Finding God in Dog, a story about an unwanted golden retriever puppy who became her muse, is her third book. It can be purchased at Yesterday's Muse bookstore in downtown Webster.
