1776: America's Revolutionary Year In-Person
1776 is one of the most important years in American History. Thomas Paine published his essay Common Sense, changing the mindset of the nation. Not long after, Thomas Jefferson penned The Declaration of Independence, which would inspire nations to seek their own independence for generations to come. Summer brought the Battle of Long Island, and the year ends with Washington crossing the Delaware. Please join MCC professor of history, Mark Sample, as he tells these and other stories from this most momentous year.
