Topics From the Civil War* In-Person
The Civil War was the bloodiest war in American history. It can not be told in one lecture. Please join Monroe Community College professor of history, Mark Sample, as he looks at selected stories during the Civil War. Among the topics he will cover are: The Emancipation Proclamation, the 1863 Draft Riots, the role of African-American soldiers in the war, the Election of 1864, and Lincoln's Assassination.
