Eleanor Roosevelt: The Great Depression Years 1933 - 1938 In-Person
The second talk on Eleanor Roosevelt's life will look at her time as First Lady during the Great Depression. Among the topics covered will be her growing popularity in the nation, the creation of the town of Arthurdale in West Virginia, her involvement with Civil Rights, the re-election of FDR to the Presidency in 1936, her relationship with Lorena Hickock, and more.
