Sands of Time In-Person
Kids, ages 6+, come to a “field trip into the past” with Richard D. Hamell, Professor Emeritus at MCC on Tuesday, July 14th at 1:00 PM in the Library. Prof. Hamell is a paleontologist and will share a presentation on fossil history of our region. Then you’ll have the opportunity to see some wonderful fossils: Ice Age mammoth & mastodon teeth, Giant Great White Shark teeth, and more. Next, dig for fossil shark teeth in ancient sand and keep the fossils you discover! Feel free to bring a fossil or mystery rock for Prof. Hamell to identify. Please register each child in advance.
