Join IPL and MCC professor Mark Sample to learn about the year 1776!
This revolutionary year changed the course of both American and world history. Our talk will cover iconic moments and, beginning with Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" and ending with his "American Crisis" series, written to inspire soldiers through the Revolutionary War. Along the way. we'll discuss the Declaration of Independence, the Battle of Long Island, and Washington's inspirational Delaware crossing.
