Adult Program

We all know that composting is a good choice to make. Listen in to learn tricks for how to start and maintain a compost pile at home, and the usefulness of amending your soil with compost.

Presenter’s Bio: Sue Nolen is a Master Gardener with the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County. She joined the CCE Master Gardener team as a transfer, in 2019, and has been busy with Zoom and In-person Speaker’s Bureau presentations on Composting over the last 6.5 years. She also helped build the new Composting Bins for the South Lawn Pro-ject and GROWS program at the CCE Extension office, on St. Paul Boulevard. Sue is also on the Pollinator Friendly Garden Certification Committee for CCE MG and yes, her gar-den is now certified as pollinator friendly!

Prior to moving back to the Northeast, in 2019, she received her Master Gardener certifica-tion from Texas A&M while living in the Houston area for several years. Sue is a certified Compost Specialist. She has lived, with her family, in many different climates around the world, where she has composted in most of them! While the locations have changed, the concepts stay the same and she looks forward to sharing information and enthusiasm for helping you and our environment
