This course is designed to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business; keep themselves and others safe, and help children behave. Through hands-on practice, the successful candidate will receive certification as an American Red Cross babysitter (certificate will be emailed).

Important: For ages 11-15 years old. Please bring a brown bag lunch. The fee is $85 & is due before the class starts (day of or by 7/24/26). You can pay via Venmo/credit card/cash. Prepayment is encouraged and must be received by July 24, 2026. There will be no refunds for prepayment though you will be directed to future babysitting trainings at other locations in Monroe County.
