Backyard Rocket Science In-Person
Get ready to blast off at our July STEM Night! Young engineers ages 8 and up will design, build, and launch their very own bottle rockets using nothing but vinegar, baking soda, and a whole lot of creativity. Kids will use aerodynamics to build the nose cone and fin designs to see which rocket flies the highest, then measure their results with a homemade clinometer. We'll wrap the night with the legendary egg drop challenge, where every team must engineer a landing system to protect their payload from a tall drop point. Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little wet, bring your competitive spirit, and get ready for a night that's equal parts science and spectacle. Space is limited, so register early! We’ll meet at the Udicious Pavilion on Wednesday, July 15th at 6:00 PM for this outside activity. Parents must remain with children at this event.
