Hydraulic Engineering STEM Night In-Person
This September, we're putting fluid dynamics in your kids' hands — literally. Young engineers ages 8 and up will build their own water-powered moveable parts using syringes, vinyl tubing, and cardboard at our Hydraulic Engineering STEM Night. They'll discover how the same principles behind construction cranes, airplane landing gear, and surgical robots can be harnessed with just a few dollars of materials. After assembling their arms, teams will compete in a precision pick-and-place challenge and a hydraulic lift competition to see whose design can move the most weight. This is engineering design thinking in action — build, test, improve, repeat. It's the perfect back-to-school brain-starter that'll have kids excited about physics. Register in advance and join us at the Udicious Pavilion on Wednesday, September 16th at 6:00 PM. Parents must remain with children at this event.
