Enchanting Transylvania In-Person

With the splendor of the Carpathian Mountains all around you, Transylvania is so much more than Dracula and his famous castle. Yes, we’ll tour Bran Castle, but also discover Vlad the Impaler’s birthplace, Sighisoara. We’ll explore medieval Braşov, one of Transylvania’s cultural centers, and visit its well-known Black Church. Later, you’ll be introduced to Romania’s iconic fortified churches at Prejmer and Harman, and step back in time discovering the Saxon gem, Viscri, with its horse-drawn wagons and cut-front architecture. We’ll admire the vibrant murals in Sinaia Monastery’s old church and experience the magnificence of its new cathedral. We cap off our whirlwind trip to Transylvania by wandering through the wood-carved splendor of Peleş Castle, the Romanian Royal family’s summer home, and one of Romania’s crown jewels. David Schuler is your travel guide - don't miss out!
