BIg Kid for a Day- Transition to Prek/K In-Person

Big Kid for a Day offers a fun, hands-on opportunity to experience what a typical school day might look like before the first day of kindergarten. Big Kid for a Day gives families a chance to practice important school routines, build confidence, and begin the school year feeling prepared and excited. Activites were developed in consultation with PreK and Kindergarten teachers to help your child be successful on their first day of school.

Families will walk through "classes" to sample a day of school such as Art & Music Class, Lunch (pizza will be served), Gym, and of course, Library. We will also have some of our community partners here to share information about supports avaiable throughout the school year.

This program is sponosed in part by The Friends & Foundation of the ochester Public Library, Greater Rochester Summer Learning Association (GRSLA), and WXXI Education.
