Anthems, Controversies, and Latino Roots: A Brief History In-Person
The controversies behind US Latinos singing the national anthem and performing in high profile sporting events has a long history in the USA. Focusing on the history of people of Puerto Rican and Mexican descent in the US and NY, we will cover a brief history of these events and the communities from which these artists hailed. Presented by Isabel Cordova, chair of the Department of History, Politics, and the Law at Nazareth University. Registration recommended.
