Learn About Self-Direction with Parent to Parent of NYS In-Person
Veronika Mourgides from Parent to Parent of NYS will talk about Self-Direction. Self Direction is a service provided through OPWDD (Office for People With Developmental Disabilities). For people with disabilities, Self-Direction gives them the chance to choose their own services so they can live the life they want. When you self-direct your services, you have increased flexibility to choose the right supports for you, the staff you want to work with and a schedule that works best for you. Learn more about the process and how Self-Direction can help your loved one. No official diagnosis is necessary to join. There will be a mingle before the presentation.
