Pittsford's Proud Military Heritage In-Person
Since the first Revolutionary War veterans settled in Pittsford in the 1790s, generations of Pittsford residents have answered their nation’s call to service. Civil War soldiers returned home to build the community as farmers, physicians, and business owners. Veterans of World Wars I and II continued that legacy through their leadership in local organizations and by founding the American Legion Rayson-Miller Post. Their dedication, sacrifice, and civic spirit helped shape the Pittsford we know today. Join Town & Village Historian Vicki Masters Profitt as she celebrates our town’s proud military heritage through the stories of the men and women who served their country and strengthened their community. The Daughters of the American Revolution will also be on hand to share their work at the Pioneer Burying Ground. Registration recommended.
