Cornell Cooperative Extension: The Fibonacci Sequence in Nature (virtual) Online
*Registration is open*
Monday, November 23, 6:30-7:30 PM
For Adults
The Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers that was popularized in Europe by an Italian mathematician known as Fibonacci in 1202. A wide variety of artistic and natural phenomena have been discovered which approximate the numbers in the Fibonacci sequence. This talk will describe some of the instances and speculate on why so many things in nature seem to follow the inherent mathematics. A link to the virtual event will be emailed to registrants.
Each month, we will be highlighting Zoom classes through Cornell Cooperative Extension. This program is hosted by Pittsford Community Library; if you have any questions, please call PCL at 248-6275. The Master Gardener Series is brought to you by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County and is available thanks to a consortium of MCLS libraries who are sharing resources and connecting communities.
Program Accessibility
If you need accommodations due to a disability (e.g., sign language interpretation, closed captions, etc.) so that you can participate in any of our library's programs or events, please complete a request for disability accommodation or speak to a PPL staff member at (585) 340-8720 at least one week prior to the event.
