Monroe Reads to End Racism
For Teens & Adults. Please note: This program will take place at the Monroe Family YMCA, 797 Monroe Avenue, next door to the library.
This is a community program to promote racial justice through book discussion and team building. We will be discussing the book All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely.
Many people want to improve race relations but do not know how. Participants will have a mutual starting place with a story about racial conflict. Some copies of the book are available at the Monroe Branch Library, and we will be raffling off a few copies during the program. There will also be snacks, special guests, and other surprises.
Please contact the library for more details or to register for this program.
