Join us at the Penfield Library for a special screening of Saving Private Ryan.Following the Normandy landings, a group of soldiers goes behind enemy lines to retrieve a paratrooper whose brothers have been killed in action. The film was the recipient of five Academy Awards, including Best Director (Stephen Spielberg), Best Film, and Best Actor (Tom Hanks). Writer Robert Rodat was nominated for best original screenplay. The film also stars Matt Damon and Tom Sizemore.
