Transgender Panel Presentation In-Person
Have you been confused by the terms being used by people in the transgender and gender expansive communities? Are you fearful of saying the wrong thing or using the wrong pronoun and accidentally offending someone? Do you have questions that you would like to ask trans people but don’t know if they will be taken the wrong way? Please join us for this interactive panel presentation being brought to us by the LGBTQ Academy at the Out Alliance.
Trained LGBTQ Academy Speakers Bureau members will share their personal coming out stories, discuss basic terms and vocabulary, offer tips on how to be respectful when communicating with trans individuals and answer any and all questions. This format encourages dialogue and provides ample time for participants to get honest answers to their questions in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Registration requested.
