Organic Composting for Sustainable Growing In-Person

A great garden starts with great soil!  One way to maintain good health and high nutrient content of your production soil is through the addition of garden compost. Organic compost is a great source to keep your soil performing well.  But composting is more than recycling garden waste or kitchen scraps – it’s a way of creating a healthy environment for all creatures living in it or above it, including you!  Come and learn good composting practices to help you convert your garden into a sustainable haven. Registration is recommended.

A part of the discussion will be area farming as a source of local food.  A ‘Fresh Market Local Food’ guide, including Monroe County Farmers’ Market Guide 2017 will be provided.
