The Great American Read Weekend: Pride and Prejudice -
Sunday, October 6, 2:15-4:30 PM
For Adults
*Registration opens September 21*
Penfield Public Library is hosting a celebration to honor one of the Great American Reads nominees, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Join us for a special viewing of the film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, directed by Joe Wright, starring Keira Knightley, Matthew Macfadyen, Brenda Blethyn, Donald Sutherland, and Talulah Riley. It's the story of a lively and rebellious Elizabeth, one of five unmarried daughters living in the countryside of 19th-century England, in a world where an advantageous marriage is a woman's sole occupation.
