Central Library is celebrating Black History Month by exploring Kente cloth, Adinkra symbols, the Ghanaian languages. This interactive presentation focuses on how Ghanaians use Kente and Adinkra in their everyday life to communicate. As Egyptians use hieroglyphics and Millennials use texts and emojis to communicate, Ghanaians use textile weaves and fabric patterns as a language to communicate and express themselves. Free and open to everyone.
