Weave Your Own Piece of Kente Cloth In-Person
Celebrate Black History Month by weaving your own piece of Kente cloth. Kente Cloth is a hand woven cloth originally made by the Ashanti people in the west African country of Ghana. Each Kente Cloth is characterized by patterns and specific colors, all of which have a special meaning. Create a no-sew, hand-woven Kente Cloth while learning about the traditions and symbolism of the sacred cloth! This class is for adults and requires registration.
