Babysitter Training Class for Ages 11+

Taught through classroom discussion, instructor-led lecture, and supplemented by an interactive video presentation, this five-hour class for boys and girls aged 11 and up teaches participants the roles and responsibilities of a babysitter. This class will develop skills in accident prevention, first aid, and abdominal thrusts for choking victims. Each student will receive a workbook and a certification card upon completion. Students will also be encouraged to get library card, if they don't have one already. This five-hour course will be taught by EPIC Trainings. A fee of $30 (cash or check payable to EPIC Trainings) is due at time of registration. The Friends of the Mendon Library is happy to provide a complimentary pizza lunch for participants (those with food allergies are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch). Must have eight students to hold class; call 624-6067 to register.
