Frederick Douglass and Ireland In-Person
Dr. Tim Madigan, professor and chair of philosophy at St. John Fisher College, will discuss Frederick Douglass’s trip to Ireland in 1845 and how this influenced his later views on abolition and human rights, particularly the role which meeting Daniel O’Connell played in his commitment to the cause of human emancipation. No registration required.
