American Red Cross Pillowcase Project In-Person
A free class for children in grades 3-5 will be held on Saturday, February 23rd from 11:00 AM-Noon in the William Udicious Pavilion. The Pillowcase Project is a free, interactive preparedness program designed for youth ages 8 to 11. Students learn about the science of locally relevant hazards and how to best prepare for them. They practice what to do if a disaster occurs and how to cope with related fear and stress. Afterwards, they share the information and skills they have learned with their family and friends so everyone in the household knows what to do. All children will be given a Preparedness Workbook, a Disney-branded pillowcase and fabric markers to decorate their pillowcase. Please register your child in advance.
