IPL Genealogy Group: Genealogy Research Using Newspaper Records with Eric Vaughn In-Person

Eric has been conducting genealogy research for almost 18 years and has utilized newspapers to research a great deal of information on his family.  He utilizes Newspapers.com, GenealogyBank, Northern NY Newspapers, and Fulton History Postcards sites.  He has used different clues and information to locate some difficult obituaries and news articles that he had not previously been able to locate.  He found success utilizing Boolean searches and other methods in locating this difficult information.

He will also discuss methods he has found useful for storing this information.  In addition, he will discuss how he has searched newspapers at libraries, and research centers throughout his travels.
