Girls Who Code: Animation & Art Edition

Girls Who Code: Animation & Art Edition In-Person

REGISTRATION FOR GIRLS WHO CODE SPRING SESSION HAS ENDED

In the spring session of Girls Who Code participants will learn to program animations and interactive art using programming and design concepts. In GameLab each participant will program in the JavaScript language using blocks or text. In the final project, students will develop a personalized, interactive project. Along the way, the girls will practice design, testing, and iteration, as they come to see that failure and debugging are an expected and valuable part of the programming process.

We will meet every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30PM starting on March 6th and ending on May 22nd. There will be no meeting on April 17th.

Girls Who Code is open to girls in grades 6-10. Registration is required. Space is limited to 15 girls. Registering for the first session counts as registration for the full term. Learning is self-guided, but it is beneficial for the girls to attend as many classes as possible. Lap tops are provided, but girls are welcome to bring their own.
