GPL Out On the Town: Barre at the Metropolitan
GPL Out On the Town is heading downtown to one of Rochester's tallest skyscrapers, the Metropolitan (formally known as Chase Tower). We've selected this beautifully redeveloped historical landmark in Downtown Rochester to experience an introductory Barre class with Lianna Miller of Roc & Soul Fitness. Lianna will guide us through a Barre class using isometric micro-movements, with a focus on high repetitions and small-range of motion in targeted muscle areas. These tiny movements are designed to fatigue the muscle, followed by stretching to lengthen and define the muscles. Many of these movements are based on ballet, pilates, yoga, and elements of traditional strength training.
Stick around afterwards to spend time catching up with friends or meet new ones at Bar Bantam, an all-day eatery with menu items inspired by California cuisine and seasonal produce, with influences from across the globe, right inside the Metropolitan. Who knows, maybe luck is still in the air!
Class instructions: Bring a mat and a bottle of water then join us in the lobby where smiling faces are ready to greet you! There is plentiful secure, private garage parking in the Clinton Square Garage located adjacent to the Metropolitan Tower, just south of the building on Clinton Avenue.
