Sculpture Creation with Sand and Plaster In-Person
Roll up your sleeves and stick your hands into a bucket of wet plaster! You can imbed just about anything you want in plaster. Sea shells, pinecones, small plastic toys, even a lightbulb. Those $ stores are great places to pick up little things to create a sculpture, like small a garden sculpture (see below). You will press your object into wet sand to make an impression. Then you will pour plaster onto the sand, it will set up and harden into the shape of your object. Later, you will pop it out, clean it off and take away your own piece of sculpture. You can bring it home and paint it and have your own piece of art. Use your imagination; just bring an object that has a hard surface you can press it into the plaster. When attending this class, someone will win a craft book, maybe it will be you!
This class is for ages 16 and older. Children 13 and over are also welcome as long as they are with a parent or guardian.
