Linux Workshop for Teens In-Person

What is Linux? Linux is an operating system used to power a multitude of systems from your smartphone to your wireless router. In desktop computing terms Linux provides an alternative to commercial operating systems such as Windows or Mac OS. Linux is free, customizable, runs great on old PCs, and is easy to both maintain and use.

Join us on Saturday, April 20th from 11 AM - 2 PM to learn the basics of Linux. The workshop is open to students in grades 6 -12. Sunnking has donated 15 older desktop computers, so each participant receives a computer installed with Linux.

Registration is required.

Workshop is sponsored in part by New York State Senator Joe Robach.
