Exploring Identity through Art and Comics In-Person

Art can be a powerful form of self-expression. In this hands-on creative workshop, youth and adults will be guided in creating art that expresses their own identities and experience. The session will begin with a brief introduction to identity-centered comics and art and will conclude with a round-table discussion with plenty of time for creating in between. Attendees are asked to register in advance below.

Justin Hubbell is a professional artist, educator, and advocate. Their work focuses on gender and Queer politics through autobiography. They were a finalist in the 2018 Prism Awards; their book In A Word: Trans was published in May.Learn more about their work at http://www.justinhubbell.com/.

Alexandria Hubbell is an accomplished educator, facilitator, and mediator. Following two years of service with Americorps, she currently works with students in restorative justice for the Gandhi Institute for Non-Violence and is studying for a master’s degree in Library Science.
