ART HISTORY AND ACTIVISM In-Person
While Crafting Democracy is focused on artists using traditional craft tools in order to create material objects that address social justice, Art History and Activism highlights artists working in other media like print, video, photography, performance and sculpture that are striving to express themselves in response to today’s events. Listeners will learn about artist collectives such as the Guerrilla Girls as well as local artists such as Olivia Kim and Amanda Chestnut.
