Memorable American Fiction Book Discussion In-Person

Joseph O’Toole will use novels set in different time periods and regions in the United States to discuss why certain books are memorable with readers by examining the merits (and shortfalls) of each novel. The books are unified by the theme of how the characters cope with difficulties. Since each session will build upon the previous session, participants are expected to attend every month. Copies of the books will be provided for check out. This reading and discussion series is made possible through Humanities New York. Registration required.
