The Creative Journal: A Three-Part Writing Series In-Person

What is a journal for? Most people us it to keep a diary or vent their feelings. What if you had many more options--ways to write that would help you discover new insights, process inner conflicts, and open the door to your creativity? This three-session class will teach several approaches that will enliven your journal entries as well as nourish your other writing. All Rochester Writes programs are open to writers of all levels

Anais Salibian, M.A., owner of Awareness Heals, has a private practice in therapeutic bodywork and teaches classes and workshops in creative non-fiction. Especially in Memoir classes, she found that her students were undergoing a similar process as were her clients—discovering truths about their lives that lead to more wholeness. Then she found decades of research on the power of writing to heal, research that revealed that the healing components were the very techniques taught in her writing classes! Anais  is very excited to integrate her two professional modalities.

All programs are free and open to the public. Space is limited and registration is required.

Rochester Writes is hosted by the Arts & Literature Division. For more information, please call 428-8380 or contact Carol Moldt at Carol.Moldt@libraryweb.org.
