The Color of Law Panel & Community Discussion In-Person
*This program has been moved to The Spiegel Community Center, room 107.
Pre-session action: Read The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America by Richard Rothstein. A limited number of copies will be available at the library's Circulation Desk for check out. How do we feel government-sponsored residential segregation policies impacted (past/present) Rochester and its suburbs like Pittsford and Brighton? Does current day society have a role to play in bringing fairness and equity to areas still dealing with the impact of segregation? We will break into small groups to capture any ideas and suggestions on "what is next." Registration required.
