Identifying Plants at 55 MPH In-Person

This presentation gives some simple techniques to help you identify trees by observation and using your senses. While this is not a substitute for a tree identification class, it should give you enough information to identify many common trees in our landscape.

Registration is required and begins February 17.

Bob Beabout is a Penn State graduate, and an Eastman Kodak IT retiree. After retirement, he received an Ornamental Horticulture degree from Finger Lakes Community College, became certified as a New York State Landscape Professional, and operated a small landscape design business. He also became a Master Gardener with the Monroe County Co-operative Extension. At the Co-operative Extension, Bob currently volunteers most of his time with the Community Forester activities at Durand Eastman Park and in helping with homeowner landscape assessments. Bob currently works part-time at Strong Hospital in the Standard Patient Program. Bob also sings with the Genesee Valley Orchestra and Chorus.
