Grant Writing 101

Grant Writing 101 In-Person

Join us in the Kate Gleason Auditorium for Grant Writing 101. Our speaker Jocelyn Basley, Community Grants Manager at United Way of Greater Rochester, will provide an opportunity for participants to gain insight to the world of grants from both the grantee and grantor perspectives, and provide an opportunity to network and learn from each other, discuss concerns or challenges and walk away with greater understanding and confidence in their grant writing abilities. This interactive session, intended for those new to grant writing, will cover the following: What is a grant? Who offers grants? Where do I look for grants? When should I apply? How do I apply?

Pre-registration for this free program is requested. Register online or by calling the Science, History & Social Sciences Division at 585-428-8110. We hope to see you there!

Parking near the Central Library is available at both on-street metered spots and at surrounding off-street parking garages.

The most convenient parking is in the Court Street Garage, which is adjacent to the Bausch & Lomb Public Library Building at 194 Court St. The first 2 hours of parking in a city-owned garage are $2.00 total, with each additional hour (or any part of) being $2.00 up to the daily maximum of $10.00. If a special event fee is being charged on the day of the program, let the parking attendant know that you are there for a library program, and you will not have to pay the higher fee.

If the Court Street Garage is full, there is also parking across the street at the South Avenue Garage.
