Tuesday Topics: Cultural Arts in Rochester

In the news: Rochester offers more cultural arts than most cities its size. For 2019-20 Geva Theatre noted Mark Cuddy’s 25th Season as Artistic Director; 2020 marks 50 Years of Garth Fagan Dance (a record milestone for a dance company) and this coming summer the Strong Museum of Play anticipates completing its 100,000 sq. foot expansion.

@ the Library: The Library offers cultural programs and services throughout the year including concerts, art classes, poetry readings and classes, an art cart, and major exhibits (note: ‘Art of the Book’ runs Dec. 4 – Feb. 1, 2020). Unique items available for loan include sewing machines, framed artwork, sheet music and ukuleles.

Presenter: Carol Moldt, Librarian in the Arts & Literature Division and Program Coordinator for Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County
