FREE Flu and Hepatitis A Vaccine Clinic! In-Person
Have you gotten your flu shot yet?
Have you ever had a vaccine for the Hepatitis A virus (HAV)?
If you answered "no" to either of these questions, please stop by the FREE Flu and HAV vaccine clinic, provided by the Monroe County Health Department right here at the library!
Why should you and your children get vaccinated for the Flu and Hepatitis A?
- An estimated 80,000 people died from the flu in the U.S. during the 20182019 season.
- So far, as of Dec. 7, 2019, a total of 10 children in the U.S. have died from the flu.
- Between January and November 2019, the number of Hepatitis A virus (HAV) cases increased in New York State by 235%, prompting the NYS Health Department to issue an advisory.
- Hepatitis A is a highly contagious liver disease that may leave you feeling very sick for several weeks to months.
