Small Space Gardening: an Online Presentation In-Person

Whether you're an experienced gardener or a beginner, you probably know that harvesting fresh food from your backyard is one of the greatest joys of gardening. But the future harvest requires planning and preparation, especially if your garden is as big as a match box!

Please join us online via Zoom for this free gardening workshop taught by Jarmila Haseler, Agricultural Educator at the Cornell Cooperative Extension. She will discuss ‘square foot gardening’ techniques and other handy tips to maximize your small-plot area, including site selection, vegetable varieties, soil preparation or crop rotation to assure fresh and nutritious food for you and your whole family. A part of the discussion will also include other sources of local food, including area farmers markets and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA).

Registration is required in order to receive a link to the Zoom virtual meeting, which will be emailed out the day before the program. See the link below to get started.

Please note that a video camera and mic are NOT required to attend this online program; you will only need a computer or mobile device, internet connection, and audio or phone to listen in.
