Join author Patti Giglio online via Zoom as she explores the harrowing history of the lost souls of the poorhouses and asylums in Western New York. Learn about the lives and burials of “inmates” at the Monroe County Poorhouse and State Hospital in Rochester, at the Genesee County Poorhouse in East Bethany and the Willard Asylum in Ovid.
Patti Giglio is a local author who has 5 books published on Western New York history and local ghost stories. She has a passion for history, as well as life (and death) in this beautiful world of ours. The old bones of a house have stories to tell and cemeteries have secrets to hide, she gives them a voice.
