Improve Your Fiction Writing: Learning From Mentor Texts - A Four-Part Zoom Class In-Person
Do you wish you had mentors to help you develop your writing craft? Mentor texts are all around us. We'll read and discuss some masterful fiction works, see how much we can glean from them, and put what we learn into practice in our own writing.
This is a four-part series to take place on Thursdays, June 4, 11, 18, and 25. A commitment to all four sessions is requested. Space is limited and registration is required.
Instructor Alex Sanchez has published eight novels with Simon & Schuster, including the American Library Association “Best Book for Young Adults” Rainbow Boys and Lambda Award-winning So Hard to Say. His novel Bait won the Tomas Rivera Mexican-American Book Award and the Florida Book Award Gold Medal for Young Adult fiction. Now he’s at work on a graphic novel for DC Comics.
