Kids in Japan with 4-H Online Online
Join Monroe County 4-H Educator who lived and worked in Japan for eight years. Learn about Japanese culture and common toys and foods. Explore Japanese Children’s Day while completing hands-on projects. Geared for grades K-6.
To participate in the hands-on activities for the Japanese children’s workshop, participants would need:
For “kendama” children’s game: 2 paper cups, tape, yarn or string, scissors, piece of scrap paper, piece of construction paper
For rice balls: freshly cooked white rice (short or medium grain is best), salt, plastic wrap, bowl, spoon, optional toppings for rice (sesame seeds, nori seaweed)
Registration is required and begins July 10. Please be sure to register with a reliable email address so we can send you the Zoom meeting info.
