Dr. Smith will define and provide examples of how different kinds of privilege and social power are connected and contribute to our lived experiences. About the presenter: Dr. Taj Smith is an educator, consultant, curriculum developer and facilitator specializing in diversity and inclusion, social justice education, intergroup dialogue, curriculum design, and program assessment. Taj earned his doctorate in Social Justice Education from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, a masters in Africana Studies from Cornell University, and a bachelors in Journalism and Mass Media Studies from Rutgers University.

Understanding Power and Privilege will meet online using Zoom. Some basic knowledge of how to use Zoom is required, such as how to join a meeting.
