Media Literacy: What It Is and Why It's Important

Media Literacy: What It Is and Why It's Important In-Person

This event is part of the Parma Public Library's Adults in the Know Series: Media Literacy #1

Media is a huge part of our daily lives, maybe even more than we realize. It is vital that we understand how to interact with and interpret the media that we encounter.

Join Miranda Stefano, librarian and information specialist, to learn about media literacy and all it encompasses, including our interactions with it and biases that exist. This presentation is an overview. Two more events on specific media literacy topics will follow.

At this time, we plan on hosting this presentation via Zoom. Register with an e-mail address to receive a Zoom link.

This event was generously funded by the Monroe County Library System's Adult Literacy and Workplace Development Grant.
